An essential tool hand crafted with pride by an American craftswoman, Mara’s Hay Carrier is just the ticket for that sometimes messy job of carrying the hay from your hay barn over to where you have your horse. If you are doing this dressed in your office suit while you are rushing out late for work, you know what we mean!
It seems hay will stick to fresh air! This carrier comes with two padded and sturdy handles above wooden dowels that keep it taut.
The bag is rip-proof hemp canvas. It carries two flakes comfortably, and is designed so that the hay can be accurately flung for a direct hit for ground feeding.
Mara Somer, shown here proudly posing with her creation, is a noted designer of all things “horsey” and hand-makes these carriers in Malibu, California.
With this item she has excelled herself. If you are unfortunate enough to suffer allergies from hay, Mara’s bag greatly minimizes your body’s contact with the hay.
It is also a major assist at a campsite, where hauling hay from the trailer to the corrals can often be a challenge, trying to hold two flakes at arm’s length!
This bag is reinforced with 10,000lb-break-strain webbing. It also comes with a pouch for a folding knife to cut the bailing twine! The closure at the top is a handy twist.
Mara’s incredible hay hauler also has a handy pouch on the front, 5” by 5” with a 1 1/2” gullet.

The legendary oilskin coat. It is the only all-natural material that is waterproof.
It was made originally from sail cloth by deck passengers headed to Australia from Europe.
The originals were covered in whale or fish oil -- good news, the water proofing material has improved greatly!!

Oil Skin Coats
The oilskin coat and hat at work!! The oilskin comes with tie down straps for legs while riding and the cape deflects heavy rain. Oilskin coat and hat are ideal equipment for riding in heavy rain. The coat is made of cotton so the wearer does not sweat, a condition plastic promotes.
The BARCOO BITLESS BRIDLE is another version of the legendary Barcoo bridle. Surprisingly, many horses do not need bits,. Often they are in a bit because, well, that is tradition. The Barcoo Bitless has a roll of leather positioned across the nose, and this exerts pressure on that sensitive area when a pull is applied to the reins.. Without a bit, the horse is less likely to toss his head, which is a sign of annoyance, and resistance to forward movement. The horse is easily trained to stop with a pull that will become increasingly gentle as the horse gets the idea. The bridle has adjustment on the poll straps well as ample adjustment on the cheek straps. Matching reins are included. Made from strong solid cowhide. Colors brown or black. Barco Bitless Bridle
The drop nose of the bitless bridle. It stops a horse without steel in the mouth.
Made from waterproof oilskin, these lightweight leggings have buckle closures at the top and bottom, where the stress points are, with Velcro closure along the entire joining seam.
There is a leather V on the top of the boot, to give the leggings much lower strength. Custom made: supply distance from ankle bone to behind the knee, also the circumference of the calf.
