Girth Converters
Girth converters are designed to convert the traditional four buckle girthing system common to many Australian saddles to a Western style system, with a big D ring on either side.
The converters have two buckles fitted to a Big D Western girthing system. These buckle onto the two straps between the flaps of the Aussie saddle.
It is important to remember that these converters should be positioned as high up as possible, even if it means punching more holes in the straps. And then a short Western girth is needed, usually six inches shorter than the Aussie girth that was used previously.
